The plant for reinforced concrete elements ZSK Kremikovtzi was established in 1960, initially as a factory for producing of reinforced concrete elements for the construction of the metallurgical plant "Kremikovtzi", which is on the same site. Later, the base grew into a plant with premises suitable for the production of reinforcement and reinforced concrete elements.
The factory as an economic factor became an attractive centre for many people from all over Bulgaria. A design engineering department was established,, transport and assembly brigades were formed to close the process "design - production - assembly".
Here, for the first time in Bulgaria, a prestressed reinforced concrete - 2T panel was produced, which became the emblem of the plant. Over the years, the need for precast reinforced concrete for the steelworks diminished and the plant began to produce elements for needs throughout the country. Here, in the 1980s, the first Hollow core slabs were produced using Finnish technology. The importance of the plant for the country's economy grew.
After the change of ownership, the construction of a new plant on the same site began and so in 2009 ZSK - Stomanobeton EAD started to operate. It is equipped with the modern production lines of the Belgian company ECHO, which support the full automation of the production process. The inside transportation of concrete is carried out by means of the KÜBAT automated rail system. The plant has a modern laboratory where the daily control necessary for the high quality of the produced elements is carried out. In 2020, due to an increase in production, the expansion of the Reinforced Concrete Plant was launched and currently the total floor area is 27,000 sqm and the average output is 23,500 cubic metres of concrete elements per year.
The company's policy is focused on continuous modernization and expansion of the product range, improving the quality of the products and services offered in order to respond adequately to market trends and optimally meet requirements.
